An attorney with several decades of experience in employment law. Michael Camilleri is working with Gonzales Taplin PA as Of Counsel. He has served as president and CEO of American Financial Security Life Insurance Company since 2009. Concurrently, Boca Raton resident Michael Camilleri serves as a principal with insurance consulting company Matrix Consulting, LLC. Before accepting his current positions, he spent four years as president and CEO of Clear Spring Property and Casualty Lackawanna Insurance Group.
A highly sought speaker, Michael Camilleri has given presentations on health-related issues and workers’ compensation at conferences nationwide and published numerous articles about healthcare and workers’ compensation. He has also helped draft legislation in six states and testified before Congress in cases involving insurance companies, workers’ compensation claims, and class action lawsuits.
He earned a bachelor of arts from Long Island University and a law degree from Fordham Law School in New York. A founding board member of the American Association of Workers Compensation Professionals, he maintains membership in the New York Bar Association, the District of Columbia Bar Association, and the Federal Bar Association.
